Not trying to point fingers specifically as we don't know exactly what goes on in the background, regardless it needs to be fixed as it is a serious security issue for us players and is sad to see for a game that is top tier. They never care for their older COD games, especially considering no official patch notes were released.
This update fixed the issue with RCE for about only 2 days until it returned, and I doubt treyarch will come back to fix this issue again, however this can cause so many issues for them, they need to realise people still play this game, for me it is my favourite COD game, and I like to come back to it from time to time, and when I heard they were fixing the online security I wanted to jump back on multiplayer. We had a 109MB update out of nowhere with no proper known time on when we will be getting it, which that update was supposed to fix YouTubers/Streamers getting booted offline out of nowhere, making sure matchmaking in public games are safe from getting absolutely screwed by RCE which would put us players' personal information at risk, and also the FPS issue within the menus and multiplayer, which I got the fps issue for mp after the 109MB update getting at most 40 fps. Yes the price of the game is still ridiculous since it is now over 7 years old, however there is a bigger problem which is of course the hackers. However, with the state it is in right now I wouldn't.
I love this game, and I would recommend it highly.
